Why Olive and Barr?
The Proof Is In The Pudding…
If someone told you that you could have exceptional quality at around half the price you would think it was too good to be true, right? Well that’s exactly what we offer here at Olive & Barr. Because our workshops are located right here in the UK it means that clients don’t have to supplement the costs associated with offshore premises and cross-border trade. We pride ourselves on the fact that our kitchens are at least of equal quality (but usually superior to) the competition, but with the lowest prices in the marketplace.
We have carried out meticulous research (so you don’t have to) and are confident that our kitchens are some of the best quality, best value handmade Shaker kitchens you can buy in the UK today.
We took a classic small kitchen design and checked the price of our cabinetry against a whole array of other real wood, in frame kitchen suppliers. We feel the figures speak for themselves…..*

And you can choose to pay more of course, that’s your prerogative. But wouldn’t you rather choose Olive & Barr for your new kitchen, and use your spare hard-earned money on something else? (don’t forget to pack the sun cream!)
This kitchen is nothing short of stunning. Taken on as a restoration project by its current owners, the home has been beautifully restored.
In the heart of Wiltshire, the land of long, sweeping views steeped in ancient history, this galley kitchen is a joy.
Overlooking one of the most beautiful valleys in Gloucestershire, this huge oak extension was created with an Olive & Barr kitchen an absolute must for the client.
Stage 1. The Design Consultation
The first step in our virtual design process is to arrange a telephone consultation to discuss your functional needs and design aspirations. Simply call or email us today to schedule an exploration call with one of our kitchen designers. During the call, we’ll ask how you want to use your kitchen, what physical space you have and what your aesthetic goals are.
And if you don’t yet know all the answers to our questions, don’t worry. We’ve been crafting bespoke kitchens for many years, and with our renowned attention to detail, we’ll gladly advise on what will work best for you and your family.
Once we have an understanding of your requirements, we can start our design proposal.
Stage 2. The Design Proposal
We’ll create a preliminary design proposal for your bespoke, handmade, Shaker kitchen, and your kitchen designer will schedule a Zoom call with you to present the initial ideas.
We’re passionate about what we do and it’s incredibly important to us that you love your new kitchen as much as we do, so we welcome any feedback you may have. We’ll listen to your suggestions and refine our design, finalising a handcrafted Shaker kitchen that is as unique as you.
If you need any support with Zoom, please just let us know and we’ll be happy to help.
Stage 3. The Final Custom Design
Once we have incorporated all your feedback, we’re ready to present your final custom-designed Shaker kitchen.
We’ll arrange another call with your kitchen designer to talk you through the full-colour render of your new kitchen. At this stage, you’ll be able to truly visualise what your new kitchen will look like in the heart of your home.
Stage 4. Your Order
Providing you’re happy with the design, now’s the time to place an order for your new Shaker kitchen and our artisans will begin to prepare.
The design won’t become absolutely final until 6 weeks before the manufacture though, so you can still make tweaks if needed.
With our virtual design service, designing the stunning bespoke Shaker kitchen you always imagined has never been so simple.
We offer a kitchen removal service
If the kitchen being replaced is in good quality and condition, with the help of our partners, it can have a second life in the hands of a new user. We will advertise the kitchen and the amount raised from the sale will be subtracted from the cost of your new kitchen. The kitchen will be professionally removed and delivered to its next custodian.
In the case of a more tired and older kitchen, at a cost, we can offer an 'end of life service' where it is professionally removed and taken to a plant where it is separated and sorted and recycled.
